Part A – General terms
Section 1 Contracting party and scope
(1) These Terms of Use apply to the use of the AI job search service “Hey-KI” through the web chat at hey-ki.de, including all language versions (the “Service”). Your contracting party is WEB WE DO GmbH, Dammwiesenweg 1, 69256 Mauer, represented by Managing Director Elena Senn-Hein, email: mail@webwedo.de (“we”).
(2) Part A applies to every use of the Service. Part B sets out additional rules for use without an account, and Part C for use with a free account. Where Part B or C provides otherwise, that part takes precedence.
(3) You can access, save, and print these Terms of Use at any time at hey-ki.de/en/terms-of-use/. We provide them in several languages. If you are a consumer habitually resident in a Member State of the European Union, the versions we provide in official languages of the European Union are equally binding. If the law requires a particular language version to be the basis for interpreting your agreement, that version takes precedence. Otherwise, the German version governs; the other language versions are translations.
Section 2 Description of the Service
(1) The Service helps you search for job openings. In the chat, you describe what matters to you in a job. An AI system asks follow-up questions, searches a database of job listings from our partners (such as job portals and employers), and shows suitable suggestions in Job Boards. A link takes you to the original listing on the partner’s website, where you can apply if you wish.
(2) The selection of AI services we use varies by the region you use the Service from. The general inventory of job listings may also be supplemented with offers from regional partners.
(3) Language models automatically generate the chat responses and summaries in the Job Boards. No human reviews them before they are displayed. Responses and summaries may be factually incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or misleading, even if they sound convincing. This is inherent in how AI systems of this kind work. We use mechanisms to reduce such errors but cannot eliminate them.
(4) Job details, such as salary, working hours, location, requirements, or availability, come from our partners or are AI summaries of their listings. Only the information in the original listing is authoritative. Please check it there before applying.
(5) We are not an employer or a party to any application process or employment contract. Applications and contracts, including those relating to recommended offers, are exclusively between you and the relevant partner, employer, or provider.
(6) The Service provides general information. It does not replace individual vocational or career advice or legal advice, for example on employment law, immigration law, or social benefits. You decide which jobs to apply for.
(7) The Service is free to use. It is financed in part through payments from partners, such as job portals and employers: if you open a job listing or recommended link through Hey-KI, we may receive a payment. Our search and the AI models we use have no knowledge of these payments; they do not influence the selection or order of results. Results depend on the information you provide and how well an offer in our inventory matches your search.
(8) We aim to make the Service available with as few interruptions as possible. Maintenance, security measures, outages at technical service providers (such as the providers of the language models we use), or high demand may temporarily limit use. You have no entitlement to uninterrupted availability at all times.
(9) Use may be subject to limits, such as a maximum number of messages per chat or a maximum duration (a usage allowance). Part B sets out the details.
(10) We continue to develop the Service. We may change the language models and providers we use, features, usage allowances, and the design of the Service if there is a valid reason. Valid reasons include, in particular: technical development, changes to the language models or providers we use, security, protection against misuse, changes in legal requirements, a substantial change in operating costs, and the introduction of paid plans. These changes will not result in any charges to you. We inform you clearly and understandably about changes to your account features. If such a change adversely affects the use of your account to more than a minor extent, we inform you by email sufficiently in advance about the nature and timing of the change and your right, in that case, to terminate the agreement free of charge within 30 days of receiving the information or of the change, whichever is later. Your right to delete your account at any time remains unaffected.
Section 3 Rules of use
(1) You may use the Service only in accordance with applicable law and these Terms of Use.
(2) You must not:
- enter or have the Service generate content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of third parties, such as content that constitutes a criminal offence, is insulting or is harmful to minors;
- use the Service to deceive, harass, or harm other people;
- circumvent the Service’s safeguards or security measures, for example through inputs deliberately designed to make the AI system produce prohibited outputs;
- manipulate usage allowances or technical safeguards to circumvent them, for example by changing counters or systematically switching IP addresses (starting a new chat is not circumvention);
- use the Service through automated means without our consent, such as bots, scripts, or bulk extraction of responses;
- resell access to the Service or offer it to third parties as your own service;
- impair the functioning of the Service, for example through overload or malicious code.
(3) We recommend that you do not enter information you do not want to disclose, particularly passwords, payment details, or other people’s personal data. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle inputs.
Section 4 Rights in inputs and responses
(1) You retain the rights in your inputs. You grant us a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to store and process your inputs and transmit them to our technical service providers (particularly the providers of the language models we use), to the extent necessary to operate, secure, ensure the quality of, and further develop the Service. We process personal data only in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not use your inputs or the responses to train language models.
(2) You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to submit your content, particularly where it contains third-party text or data.
(3) To the extent that we hold rights in responses, you may use the responses for any purpose without time or geographical limits. AI-generated content is often not protected by copyright. Other users may receive identical or similar responses.
(4) In individual cases, responses may contain content in which third parties hold rights. Please check this before publishing responses or using them commercially.
(5) We retain all rights in the Service itself, particularly its software, design, and trade marks and other brand identifiers.
Section 5 Warranty and liability
(1) Statutory warranty rights apply. Appendix 1 contains additional information for individual countries.
(2) We are liable in accordance with statutory provisions.
Section 6 Restricting and blocking access
(1) We may restrict access to all or part of the Service, for example for certain devices or network addresses, where there are specific indications of a violation of Section 3(2) or where this is necessary to protect the Service, other users, or third parties.
(2) In making this decision, we consider the seriousness of the violation and the legitimate interests of everyone involved and choose the least restrictive suitable measure, such as a notice, a limit on use, or a temporary restriction. Where technically possible and reasonable, we notify you of the violation before restricting access. If you consider a restriction unjustified, you can contact us at any time.
(3) To protect against overload and attacks, we impose technical limits on the number of requests, for example per network address.
(4) Outside the European Union, we currently offer the Service only in selected countries and technically restrict access from other countries. Further geographic access restrictions may result from legal requirements. These restrictions depend on where you access the Service, regardless of your nationality or origin. You must not circumvent such restrictions, for example by concealing your location.
Section 7 Changes to these Terms of Use
(1) We may amend these Terms of Use with effect for the future.
(2) Use without an account is governed by the version we notify you of at the start of a chat session (Part B).
(3) For ongoing contractual relationships, changes apply only if you agree to them.
Section 8 Final provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another country, the protection provided by that country’s mandatory consumer protection provisions remains unaffected.
Part B – Special terms for use without an account
B 1 Conclusion of the agreement
When you send your first message in a chat session, you and we enter into an agreement for free use of the Service for that chat session. Before you send it, we notify you of these Terms of Use at the input field.
B 2 Chat session and end of the agreement
A chat session begins with your first message. It ends when you close the browser tab or start a new chat. If you reload the page, you can continue the existing chat; the chat session then continues. We may end a chat session if more than three days have passed since your first message or the usage allowance under B 3 has been reached. The agreement ends when the chat session ends.
B 3 Usage allowance
(1) We may limit the number of messages you can send per chat session (a usage allowance). If an allowance applies, we inform you in the chat of its size before you reach it.
(2) Once the allowance has been reached, we may end the chat session. You can start a new chat at any time.
(3) We may adjust the usage allowance and the time limit specified in B 2 for future chat sessions for the reasons listed in Section 2(10).
(4) If we introduce or reduce an allowance, this applies only to chat sessions that begin afterward, unless it is necessary to prevent misuse or disruptions.
B 4 Your chat history
You can continue your chat while the chat session is active. Once the chat session has ended, you can no longer access the chat. Our Privacy Policy explains how long we store data.
B 5 Applicable version
Each chat session is governed by the version of these Terms of Use that we notify you of at the input field when you send your first message.
Part C – Special terms for a free account
C 1 Registration and conclusion of the agreement
(1) You can create a free account by signing in through one of the sign-in providers we offer. You must be at least 16 years old. We currently offer accounts only in the European Union.
(2) Once registration is complete, you and we enter into an agreement for free use of the Service for an indefinite term. We confirm it by email to the address transmitted by the sign-in provider; the email includes these Terms of Use and the information on the right of withdrawal.
(3) During registration, you set your account language; it defaults to the language you are currently using in Hey-KI. You can change it in the user menu. We send communications about your agreement in that language. With the confirmation under paragraph (2), you receive these Terms of Use in your account language. We may also attach a version in a language commonly used where you are located if it differs from your account language. Additional language versions serve to take account of statutory requirements concerning the language of the agreement. Section 1(3) determines which versions are binding.
C 2 Saved chat
(1) With your account, you can access and continue your saved chat when you return to Hey-KI later. Only one chat is saved at a time.
(2) If you reset the chat, the saved chat is deleted.
(3) If you sign in during an ongoing chat, we add that chat to your account if no chat is already saved there. Otherwise, you decide whether the ongoing chat replaces it or whether you continue the ongoing chat without saving it. B 2 and B 4 apply accordingly to a chat that is not saved; you can save it through the user menu at any time, replacing the previously saved chat.
(4) Otherwise, Part B does not apply to use with an account; B 3 (usage allowance) applies accordingly to each chat.
(5) We store your chat with reasonable care. We cannot completely rule out loss due to technical problems; Section 5 governs liability.
C 3 Term and termination
(1) You can terminate the agreement at any time by deleting your account through the user menu. Deleting your account also deletes your saved chat.
(2) We may terminate the agreement by email with four weeks’ notice. The right to terminate for good cause, particularly in the event of serious violations of Section 3, remains unaffected.
(3) If you do not use your account for 24 months, we delete it; this ends the agreement. Signing in or writing in the chat counts as use.
C 4 Right of withdrawal
As a consumer, you have a statutory right of withdrawal. The information on the right of withdrawal in Appendix 2, which we send with the confirmation email, sets out the details. Appendix 3 contains the model withdrawal form; you are not required to use it. You can also declare your withdrawal using the withdrawal feature in the user menu.
C 5 Changes
We notify you by email of changes to these Terms of Use at least six weeks before they take effect. They apply to your account only if you agree to them (Section 7(3)). If you do not agree, we may terminate the agreement under C 3(2).

Appendix 1 – Country-specific information
The following information explains specific statutory rights and requirements in individual countries. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another Member State of the European Union, you are equally entitled to the statutory rights applicable there. The country-specific information applies to consumers habitually resident in the country named.
In all cases, you can in particular require us to bring the Service into conformity with the agreement at no cost to you and, where the statutory conditions are met, terminate the agreement.
1. Germany
If the Service is defective, you have the statutory rights relating to defects in digital products (Sections 327e et seq. of the German Civil Code, BGB).
2. France
The following mandatory French text describes statutory warranty rights. Without an account, the period of provision corresponds to the agreed duration of your chat session; with an account, it corresponds to the term of your agreement for use of the Service.
- Le professionnel refuse de mettre le contenu numérique ou le service numérique en conformité ;
- La mise en conformité du contenu numérique ou du service numérique est retardée de manière injustifiée ;
- La mise en conformité du contenu numérique ou du service numérique ne peut intervenir sans frais imposés au consommateur ;
- La mise en conformité du contenu numérique ou du service numérique occasionne un inconvénient majeur pour le consommateur ;
3. Poland
If the Service does not conform to the agreement, you have the statutory rights under Article 43h et seq. of the Consumer Rights Act of May 30, 2014.
The Polish version governs the interpretation of your agreement to the extent required by the Polish Language Act.
4. Romania
If the Service does not conform to the agreement, you have the statutory rights under Emergency Ordinance OUG No. 141/2021 on digital content and digital services.
5. Spain
If the Service does not conform to the agreement, you have the statutory rights under the provisions on digital content and digital services in Article 114 et seq. of the Consumer Protection Act (Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007).
Appendix 2 – Information on the right of withdrawal for the free account
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (WEB WE DO GmbH, Dammwiesenweg 1, 69256 Mauer, Germany, phone: +49 6226 9688021, email: mail@webwedo.de) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.
You can also exercise your right of withdrawal online at hey-ki.de through the “Withdraw from contract” feature in the user menu of your signed-in account. If you use this online feature, we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt of the withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by email), including its content and the date and time of its submission, without undue delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
